About the Team
Strike Zone | Team 5460 was created in August of 2014; founded by then head coach Tony Diodato and a hand-full of students. Since then, the team has continuously growing and improving with increased support from our local community and team alumni. We strive to foster the next generation of leaders, innovators, critical thinkers by providing students the opportunity to join the team for free.
Strike Zone | Team 5460 specifically competes in FIRST® Robotics Competition. Each year, a new game composed of various challenges is given to the team, and students must strategize, design, prototype, build, program, and test a competitive robot during build season; lasting for six weeks. After build season, we then compete in numerous district tournaments and the Michigan state championship in a hope to qualify for world championship, held in Houston Texas.
